i"m thinking of getting a scp 5000 and was wondering what the difference is. i know it has a larger battery but is the display or sound quality any different.

The 5150 has a better screen which makes it easier to see in daylight. It also supports 3G Voice.

i'm not really sure but 3g voice doesn't sound any better does it? doesn't it just raise the capacity

I really can't tell the difference between 3G voice and 2G voice, but one thing for sure is that 3G voice does increase the battery life of the phone.

1 hour talk time is a difference

actually, i think the 5150 is packaged with a larger battery. in any case i just bought the 5000 today and i don't have any complaints yet. i like that it comes with the cable and the software to download stuff.

Yes, there are other threads on this...
Essentially the difference is that the 5150 is "3G voice" compatible (which increases battery performance and decreases the load on the system), comes with a higher capacity battery (which of course is also going to help your talk time), has a brighter screen, doesn't come with a data cable, and is a straight silver color (as opposed to the 5000 which is a little purplish).
