Got Verichat to work without MDS

Hey I do not know if anyone else has gotten this to work but I put wap.voicestream.com (T-mobile) in the IP settings, loaded Verichat and it works. No MDS.

I just downloaded from their site (I am on TMO as well with no BES/MDS)....

I downloaded version 1.09b but I do not see anywhere in the app to put in the wap address you reference....

Are you on a different version of the app?

IP address setting is in the 7100t, not Verichat. Go to Tools and then Settings and the TCP. Under TCP in APN put wap.voicestream.com.

Setup should use whatever APN AT&T uses for wap. I have seen 2 on the web:

1. 10.250.250.54:8080 this is the WAP network connection proxy from AT&T.
2. "proxy" this is the GPRS APN

Unless anyone has a better suggestion I would try either...

Might also try wap.cingular the APN for Cingular.

Same setup works for IM+ as well. I will be trying Webmessenger as soon as their website is up.

I don't think you are going to get this to work on a CDMA (6750/7750) device without a BES.
