I just wish AvantGo would provide some sort of webpage we could go to that would provide all of our channels... Oh well

just curious.. what are people looking for as for content to their sk2s?

is anyone else using hipster? is anyone else creating modules for hipster?

UPDATE!

newly added modules for hipster..

well, this weekend was a productive geek one.. i got 4 modules for Hipster working (some very useful ones that most avantgo users would like to see or the channels i had with avantgo and my ipaq..)

added:

WiredNOW - Delivers Top Stories from Wired.com

USATODAY - Now configurable to show latest newslines, headlines, gossip, sports news from USATODAY.com website.

Quotes - 4 Quotes of the day from www.quotationpage.com

MyNetflix - Just that baby! your netflix queue, recommendations, and Shipping History (just need to input your Netflix ID, see module description for notes).

Let me know what other modules you'd like to see..

i'm working on a ALL-IN-ONE sports scores module that would be configurable to the user)

oh yea, be sure to refresh your modules list to see new ones.. oh yea, MENU + D , lets you enter development mode and load in development modules.. ;-)

Okay, this is going to sound a bit amaturish, but... I'm new to this Sidekick thing, forgive me

What is a Hipster module? What is Hipster? See, I've been using mobile phones for 10 years now, and I consider myself quite adept with them.... However as usual there's a learning curve involved with a new devise...

Look at me, I'm jacking my own thread

Anyway... just curious... I'm assuming it's a program in conjunction with the "developers kit"... Easy to install? Easy to remove should I not like it? Right now I'm sort of testing the SK2, seeing if it's right for me, and I'm still on the fence due to reception issues... I'm coming from a Nokia 3650 which gets GREAT service, the SK2 is... well, in my parts it's quite poor... in the city it's nice.

Anyway, thanks in advance

wassup..

hipster is a beta/alpha application/bundle you can download and install from http://skdr.net

however, to upload bndls, you need to get a developers key (http://developer.danger.com) for you sidekick and connect the sidekick to your pc and use htconsole and usb drivers in the dev kit to install the dev key on your sidekick..

then just upload the bundle and voila!

i've been hella busy doing modules for hipster..
new live ones of mine..

FedExNOW - Fedex Tracking for one item

tech-recipes - latest recipes and more from www.tech-recipes.com

seamonkeyRSS should be up soon too, its a basic rss reader for hipster..

hope that helps
