Turning camera snapshot sound off? (C65)

I just got a new C65 (my first mobile phone

)

And I want to turn that sound off for snapping pics, its really annoying. Is it possible to turn it off?

Required: Siemens data cable (not USB)

To remove the photo-sound you need to download a program called "open disk" (search Google) then you enter to
Siemens Device\\Config\Default

In this directory you have file cameraclickmelody.wav or something like that and you remove it. Thats it. Turn off and turn on phone and the sound should be gone. Best idea is to keep the file on your hard drive just in case you want to re-sell the phone or something.

This worked for my CX so in theory it should work with the C.

so the DCA-510 doesnt work with that method?
I just tried it and it doesn't find the config folder (I can see the hidden system folder under data though).

Sorry then, I don't have a C with me right now... I guess it should work with the 510, maybe my friend had a busted one...

Anyhoo, there IS a way to do it... keep searching!!!

CX65 Remove camera sound.
maybe you can adapt it to S65

"This isn't really a patch but just a trick anyway it works very fine!

1) change directory to \Data\System\HMI in your device
2) copy/backup profile.pd to your pc
3) open profile.pd with a text editor
4) find line:

000056:T:Camera_Click_0=2:\Default\CameraClickMelo
dy.wav

6) change this line to:

000027:T:Camera_Click_0=2:\

8) save profile.pd
9) overwrite old profile.pd in your phone with new one"

doesnt work with FW12 and higher (they changed the method after the update)
