I tried an ATT sim in this S56, now screen is blank!

I put an ATT SIM in this S56, and I turned it on and the screen was blank, so I turned it off and put a Cingular SIM in it and now with or without a SIM the screen is blank. How do I fix this??!?!?? I'm trading this phone with someone and it needs to work!

Does the phone actually turn on when you press the on button, and just the screen stays blank? What exactly happens when you press the on button?

The battery might not be seated correctly, though I can't imagine how to incorrectly seat a battery in a S56.

Wirelessly posted (I'M ON MY: Nokia6230/2.0 (04.43) Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

I thought i deleted this thread. I found out that the lcd cable is loose. When i press on the phone where it says s56 on the front, the screen picture comes on.

I've never encountered that problem with mine or any other friends' S56s. Did you drop it a lot or something? Well I'm glad you got it (kind of) worked out.

I just got it for free and I havn't had it long. Someone was interested in trading me for it, and I wanted to see if it was unlocked and that's when it first happened.

Unlocking wouldn't cause a screen failure, it'd only result in an error when you turn on the phone...

Not sure, the guy I traded with said he'd fix the screen (which he did) because I did not have the size torx for the s56.
