I just bought the Motorola USB datacable for my i730.

Where can I get WebJal free? Post direct URL please. Will I need a username/password?

Thanks, I checked those lnks and am still stuck.

Many of the URLs on those links do not work. Is there not a GOOD website with CLEAR directions on exactly what to do for us that have never tried using WebJal before?

Some places say to download WebJal and use "webjal" for the user ID, and no password, other places say to leave the user ID and password blank, and other places tell you to use a patch(s).

If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I have a i730 wth US cable, and my PC is Win98.

Did you see this on the third link?

what i did

1. Uninstalled webJAL

2. Reinstalled webJAL webJAL 3

3. Downloaded this VbRun60.exe

4. Used the patch webJAL patch

5. DONE!

Yes, I saw that. Prolem is, the link for Step 2 is dead. I was unable to download WebJal, so that pretty much killed me there.

I did go ahead and download the VBRun60 patch and I think I was ableo to download the WebJal patch.

Go here and click the "Downloads" tab. You can get webjal and the patch there. You have to be connected to the Internet for this one.

can you point me to some directions on how to get voice ringtons for my i830. I know i can download mp3s and use dbpoweramp to convert them to WAV but then how do i get them onto the phone? new webjal?

ok i got webjal again and it is runnung but it wont recognize the phone.

when I click connect to phone it says

the application was unable to find a phone attatched. please check your cable conection and your preferences. click retry to try again or cancel to stop.

Obviously i need a USB deiver but the link in the stickied thread doesnt work.

I followed the instructions on that site and it didnt work either,

also when I install webjal an error message comes up that in order tow ork properly with a usb cable I need to install "service pack 1"

where do I get that?

You have to go to the Microsoft Update page, and download the service pack.
