Developer question

I would like to become a developer, so that I can use and test new apps for the sk2. I was wondering if loading the Dev OS, or any of the bundles, would cause my device not to properly sync with the web desktop on www.tmobile.com? I am constantly on the road and my family uses the calendar function to keep appointments and schedules together, so obvivously I really need too keep that functionality. Thanks.
