RF on the 7100t

I have a question about the RF on the 7100t. I used to be a t-mo customer, with the S-105. I had horrible reception at 3 of the 4 places I spent most of my time. I left for Verizon. Now, my work is pushing us to get the 7100 blackberry, so that we can get our e-mails. My question is this. Is the RF better on this phone...meaning, will I get a better signal, a stronger signal and will I possibly get signal where I couldnt before???

Thanks, I will hang up and listen.

I've found it to be better. It's better than a Samsung 225 and a Motorola V66 (if you've tried those).

I think the RF is marginally better, but this phone also includes the 850Mhz band which seems to get better reception than prior models.

I could not use the prior phones in my home but I can use the 7100 (although low signal) for calls and email.

The Nokia 6010 is about the best 850 Mhz phone that I have seen (my family has them).

yeah, I may need to get the blackberry though. I know Nokia has the best reception, but it wont get corporate e-mails.

I've used the S-105 for around a year... I'm on t-mobile, and the RF would hover from 1 bar to no service in my house. I put up with it because if I would step outside, it would jump to an acceptable level.

I recently upgraded to a 7100t, and it's been giving me much better reception. The 7100t has anywhere from 1 to 3 bars inside the house now, and its lost service only once or twice to my knowledge.

A friend has the 7230, and it gets similar reception, but he's never reported an outage when at my house.

I really like the phone, but the keyboard takes some getting used to. I was going to get the 7230 but the Bluetooth was key for me.

Hope this helps.

P.S. This is kinda off topic, but I heard the 7100t isn't gonna be sold by t-mobile anymore. I've noticed it's been moved to "Out Of Stock" on the amazon webpage. Does anybody have any info on T-mobile's plans??
