Hello all,

One of the items I have found durring my hours on the phone with Cingular is that their system shows the IMEI numbers for both of my 220's as being MPx200's. At one point I had a women argue with me for 20 minutes that I did not have a 220 even though I had it in my hand....

If their system is showing it as a 200 could this not cause a problem with the way their system it trying to set it up..

I did have them mark my account that both of our phones were in fact 220's...

Just wondering

Mark

When I initially registered my IMEI with Cingular, it showed up on the CSR's screen as an MPx200 - However, when I called back late last week, it showed up correctly as an MPx220

No change in functionality/usability (no better, no worse)

Is posting the new IMEI necessary for better performance?

not really - it is useful for lockline claims, which is a moot point as they do not cover mpx220.
