I have upgraded from a 7210 to a 7290. The 7290 is currently installed on my desktop. I need to turn in my 7210 - is there a way for me to wipe it clean without connecting it to the computer ? Or can I connect it and not have it interfere with the 7290 ?

Set a password for the "lock" feature (Options, Security, Password ->Enabled, set password). Set the time to lock at like 1 minute, or wait for it to lock up. Enter the password incorrectly 10 times (you will also be prompted to enter some other words after so many attempts). This will be as clean as you can get it without connecting to computer.

I don't believe it would do anything to connect it to the computer to erase all the data, and you could always back up your new bb before doing so as well, and then restore it if anything were to hit the fan.
