Blackberry 7510 Unplugged

If a person was to cancel the data and phone plan from their BB (7510/Nextel), would the BB still be able to be used for Calendar, and Contacts? Basically just a (very expensive) pda.
Would it still sync properly, etc.?

No reason it wouldn't. You can check by removing your sim and then trying all that--it just says "Insert Sim" across the top instead of Nextel.
