Help! 8290 LCD

Need to replace the LCD, nothing I haven't done before, but I have a spare 8260 around the house. Will the LCD work on the 8290? I noticed looking around that 8260 and 8290 are sold as different items... ie[http://www.cellphoneshop.net/displaylcd.html]

Though the 8290 and 8260 belong to the same family series of Nokia phones, the 8260 is bulkier and noticeably larger than the slimmer and more compact 8290. I don't believe they will be compatible

Just call VoiceStream and ask for a handset replacement for you're Nokia 8290.

I took apart an 8260 for my first time. Nope, they use different LCDs..

hahahaha.... now I know this should have been in the modding forum. HARDLY a warranty on this 8290.

Just tell them you used the phone for less than a year,it doe'snt hurt to try

Yeah, but don't they cross reference the IMEI or some other unique identifier with its production date or something?

What about the different color LEDs? When they get it, will I have problems? I think this phone may have more problems than the LCD, so I would take a stock one for it. Or did you mean that you thought the 8290 just had an expired warranty?
