i am torn between p910 and pda smartphone running window. any suggestion? what i like about window is total compatibility with desktop window, i have ipaq 2210, the problem with that is froze alot and i have to soft reset. does 910 able to view saved window web site or view saved wmv? does 910 play mp3 stereo?

thank you very much for all your input.

p910 should play mp3 stereo - my p900 does.

If the main issue that you're dreading are lockups, the new MS phones seem to not be having any of those issues.

Main factors I would think would be size/functionality....

Well, I can honestly tell you that my P910a blows any phone I have used out of the water...not even close.

I would especially not suggest a moto phone as I have been severely dissapointed in the ones I have owned

I dread any phone running a form of Windows OS. I just bought the I-Mate PDA2k (aka XDA III) to replace my high end PPC and I was sadly dissapointed. I quickly figured out my PPC did everything this I-Mate does with the exception of having quadband GSM capabilities. I can't really say much about the some Moto smarthphones either. I'd have to say take a serious look at the OS. A lot of the functionalities found in these smartphones are usually a dumbed down version of what one can find on a high end PPC. I prefer to stick to my Symbian run P910i. I find myself using the PDA2k just as much as my PPC now.. Very rarely.

As a person that owns and uses the Pda2k and p910 - could you elaborate more on how you feel about the two? Likes? Dislikes? How about the size differences? Stability?

I have the Pda2k and am thinking about getting rid of it for the p910 - would greatly appreciate your thoughts!

This will be easy. I would have to say I use the XDA III 30% then I do of my Pxxx phones. The reason being is that I already have a high end PPC that has all the perks with the exception GSM capabilities. I mainly use it for my TomTom and Wayfinder Navi kits. However, being that I also utilize GPMobile's Navi kit on my P910 I'm finding myself less dependent on the XDA III. The computing power on the P910 is a bit more solid in my opinion. I have been running into the same hicups with the XDA as I did with my PPC. I get sporadic lockups causing me to reset the phone/PPC quite often, especially when using the Navi software. Moreover, the feel and design of the P910 leans more towards the ultimate all-in-one machine. I guess being that I have always owned a PPC for as long as I can remember the PDA2K really didn't impress me as I thought it was just a dumbed down version of my PPC. It's nice that it does have the phone capabilities, but I still functions like all the high end PPCs I've had, only slower. The brighter screen color on the P910 does help too. Although the difference in pixel resolution may be negligable to some I do notice the difference when view video media. Hope that helps..

Wirelessly posted (PPC 2003 PE: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320))

i went from p800 to p900 to xda2 to p900 to i-mate ppc... i miss SE's jog dial and opera (though thunderhawk for ppc is pretty neat), there are a few MS quirks, and it's freakin huge (waiting for the 850 i-mate jam), but it's all ppc pe for me... just a far more robust device

also, seamless out-the-box integration with other MS programs (outlook, word, excel) is huge for me
