Hi everyone. I've got a Nokia 3120b that's capable of using AMR ringtones and I was wondering how I got about making them? Let me know guys.

I used an amr that was converted from a song but it sounded very bad...the sound was too high pitched. amr's are really made for voice recordings, not songs, but if you want to use a voice for your tone then that would be ok.

use a mp3 capable phone and mms over the mp3, your phone will convert it to amr

when you send the file , and the phone converts it to .amr does it sound good or is the quality ××××××?

basically find a buddy that has a device that will allow a voice record. these files are recorded in the amr format. then simply mms them to your phone. keep in mind they will usually sound like dung and you won't want to use them anyway. i was highly pissed when i ordered a 7610 when expansys first released them and found that the rsmmc was full of goddam amr tones that sounded unquestionably poor when the phone freaking had stereo mp3 capabilities. way to go nokia. thats great.
