ActiveSync changes time?

I've tried and tried to mess wih the settings on my 5600 and on my PC but can not seem to get it right...

Problem: whenever I connect 5600 to PC via ActiveSync, it automatically syncs calendar and contacts. Fine. But the time on my phone always goes forward one hour (I'm in Washington DC). The clock on my PC is always correct after sync'ing.

I've fiddled with the settings on my PC's clock off the toolbar(checked and unchecked daylight savings options), and have searched on the phone how to disable a time update, but to no avail. Is this an Outlook thing? I end up changing the time on the phone manually after every sync.

Help or insight appreciated. TIA

There should be a setting on your phone for time zone. It's probably under date and time menu somewhere.

Set the time zone to Eastern (+5), or your time zone if you don't live in the center of the universe

What is happening is that there is a setting in active synch to synch your phone with the pc clock. So when you synch it resets it to the current time on your pc, but since you have the wrong time zone, it then offsets the time by one hour.

Check your activesync settings. There should be something there that says something like syncronize PDA clock with desktop clock. You should have several options there.
