me too..i would put that on my 6630 once it arrives in NO TIME!

Posted by: alphaivt

maybe it's just me, but those are REALLY ugly and distracting. The best theme is a simple one.

Posted by: angel_wing0

well different ppl has different tastes after all

Posted by: praz

hmmm i dint find anything extra ordinary in this theme

Posted by: angel_wing0

i like the "AQUA" in thetre

Posted by: praz

only thing i like abt the theme is the wallpaper
and that i believe u will get plenty on the net
so hmmmm
so i wonder whats so special in this theme

Posted by: werx

I don't really like it either, it's too hippy like... with the funkadelic colors and all

Posted by: T110MAS

to be honest im not so keen on it either. i agree with you alphaivt, i think the simple, and minimalistic themes are by far the best, as they keen your phone looking neat and stylish

i have the MacOSX theme from zelge.no on mine at the moment

with a picture of kate moss on the front!

Here you have the original post of this theme. (in Spanish)

Posted by: jerksmile

that theme is called "collision" and i think they have it on zedge.no which btw has some pretty decent themes for free too.

...and now i can't find it on there. weird.

Posted by: friedbrains

if you dont like it, so be it and beat it!

whats the point of having a theme if you want minimal effects, and if you are distracted soo much, get monochrome phones!

Posted by: 9.27

same here... that theme is more on the tacky side.. very sloppy and distracting.

i agree that the point of themes is to go beyond the default minimal... but it looks like the creator tried hopelessly to put every graphic effect possible.

yes we're all critics

Posted by: ~Amy~

First thing that comes to mind--Ewwwww.

but that's just *my* opinion...to each their own I say.

Posted by: friedbrains

... OK, guys!!! can we see what u think is an awesome theme... and pls. nobody post nudies here... well, as much as i want to see em, we just cant do it here... however, that can be arraged in another way though... hehehe if u get my drift... hehehe

and pls. NO original nokia themes that came with ur phone...

LET ME SEE WHAT U GOT!

I'm a simple theme kind of guy too. Not plain, but simple and clean design.

I like a lot of the themes here (they are free):
6600 Themes

I currently use the "Oscar" theme. It's a nice OS X looking theme.

100% better
clean, graphical, not-trying-too-hard

Posted by: shaolinmonk

ya i prefer the simple themes as well... the abstract stuff rocks

and the cellshaded stuff is neat too.

Posted by: alphaivt

exactly, i've been using the Oscar theme for a while and i love it. Only thing i dislike is the clock, in both modes. In analog, theres a "special effect" type glare that makes it hard to read the time and in digital, it'll say "PM" in standard black font right belwo the time which is annoying. I tried the 24-hr time, but that's just too complicated for my girlfriend lol

Posted by: friedbrains

bah! ive seen most of those themes, got some of em 2, most are plain vanilla, but some are rad...

Posted by: praz

friedbrains lol why are u getting angry
u are talking as if u have made the theme

Posted by: angel_wing0

maybe because u are doubting his tastes

Posted by: friedbrains

i aint angry dude, u dont want me to get angry...

minimal as in stylised minimalistic. i love the features of symbian phones, but i like to keep everything organised at the same time, so the MacOSX theme is ace!

aint mad, m cool, just trying to up a challenge for the coolest theme, but apparently one man's cool theme, isnt necessarily another man's cool theme, specially if there are lots of laid back people here...

Here's my current favorite theme, called SX1Blue. It's a mild theme, but a good one if you like mild themes.

hey guys i've used most of the themes that have been mentioned in this particular thread, have any of you guys used AEFox Fusion Final theme? been using it for a week now and really like it. the wallpaper put me off it for so i didn't download it for ages, but i just put my own wallpaper on it and used the icons from oscar.. its actually a really nice theme when you put all those together.give it a try.

i got it at 'my opera' its in there somewhere.. i can't seem to find it now. had it in front of me a minute ago!

Posted by: Rube

striveyj,

Did you use Nokia Theme studio to do the changes with the icons?

Posted by: striveyj

I didn't change the themes.. just used the themes from oscar with the AEFox fusion theme via entering the 'edit' option that can be found in the themes section.

And therin lies a flaw in the 6620...a BIGTIME one..under edit, there is no option to do that. Theres; wallpaper, color palette, screen saver, and image in Go To. No way to edit icons used...unless I am missing something???

Posted by: Rube

striveyj,

I tried using "edit" in Themes. It seems that you can change the wallpaper, but I don't see an option to switch icons.

If I understand correctly, you are using:
1. AEFox theme
2. Personal wallpaper
3. Oscar icons

I can do 1 and 2, but not 1 and 2 with 3

Maybe you could explain the process more. Thanks!

this is one of my fav themes
i use many a times

Does anyone know of a good Cingular theme?

Posted by: striveyj

Hi guys

I'm using a Nokia 6600 with firmware version 4.09.. Don't know if that makes any difference. BUt yes as someone already pointed out above. This is what I do in detail.

1. Install all the themes that I want to use
2. Next i go to 'themes' and set AEFusion as my main theme.
3. Then on AEFUSION I click on the edit option which can be accessed via pressing the joystick or 'options'. 'EDIT' should be the first option in the list.
4. Then under 'EDIT' you'll see, 'wallpaper', 'colour palette', 'screen saver', 'icons' and 'Image in Go To'.
5. Then I choose 'Icons' and then under there i choose 'OSCAR' (which i installed already)

It seems that the 6620 doesn't have this option as someone mentioned above.

Also some asked about the oscar icons. well you can download it for free and see for youself. but in my opinion the oscar icons are one of the better ones because they look great and also are very well done as they can be used with other icons and not have jagged edges or white borders which show up when you use it with other themes.

i can't do screenshots at the very moment because I don't have that psiloc programme to take them, but i'll put some photos and you'll see what i mean.
