what animation format does the 8900 read? is it possible to upload animations like uploading ringtones and wallpapers?

will it work uploading the gif into the brew/shared/images? or is there a different/special procedure to upload animation to the 8900?

And what format is used for animations with sound like the (annoying as hell) Verizon start-up and shut-down animations?

i've tried uploading gif to the brew/shared/images/ .
i could see the gif but only the first frame i mean, i couldnt see as an animation.
