GX32 always roaming, how to fix??

I am using GX32 with T-Mobile. But the phone always show roaming on Cingular. I try to do both Auto and Man. search network but the phone only find AT&T and Cingular . What am I doing wrong? Anyone have this problem?

it depends on where you live live, cingular and tmobile

from what I know, cingular and tmobile share towers there so that could be the reason

Well, this issue from what I understand has to do with the fact that your phone is not a T-mobile phone. When you buy a phone from a T-mobile store or one that is branded with the T-mobile logo it comes with software on it that renames cingular into T-mobile.

Phones that are not of T-mobile origin lack this software and therefor they display cingular and tell you that you are roaming. Don't worry you are not roaming, you are on the T-mobile network, it is just that they share towers and in order for the phone to display T-mobile it needs that script.

Thats what I understand the problem to be.
