I have a question that I am hoping someone can answer about this phone. I purchased a new faceplate for my phone and after I put it on, my screen started messing up - going to a black screen, but the LCD monitor worked. I would turn the phone off, then back on and the screen was on, but as soon as I closed the phone and reopened - black screen. I could receive calls still - everything was fine except for the monitor. I detached the battery and a screw fell out (don't know why). After an hour of trying to figure out what was wrong, I put the regular faceplate back on and put the screw back into the back - ready to take the phone back. Well, it worked! So I tried it again. I put three of the four screws back in and it did it again. After I put the fourth screw in, it worked fine - with the new faceplate. Does anyone know what the screws have to do with this or why it would be messing up?

With one screw out, it most likely was a ground problem for the screen. Or the connector for the screen was a little lose. Get use to taking it apart and putting it back together again. I have doen it about 4 times now in about 8 months, just to get the dust off the screens.
