Any opinions? What are the strengths/weaknesses of each compared to each other?

Treo 650 has Bluetooth, Sidekick II does not.

Treo 650 has SD card, Sidekick II has no memory expansion.

Treo 650 has IR, Sidekick II does not.

Treo 650 plays Mp3, Sidekick II does not.

Treo 650 has a touch screen, Sidekick II does not.

Treo 650 has video capture, Sidekick II does not.

In my opinion the two are not really comparable. The Sidekick II is more of a messaging/e-mail device. The Treo 650 is a PDA phone. What are your needs? If you only plan to use the device for messaging/email than the Sidekick is a nice option. If you want a true PDA then look to the Treo.

I was about to say all that. At one point I thought about getting the Sidekick but I didn't, my needs aren't just for messaging and that's primarily what the sidekick is for. This only my opinion about the sidekick, I think you can do some pda functionality, though.

I owned and already sold both the SideKick II and iPaq h6315 and went to the Treo650. What an improvement. I don't use alot of software but there are thousands on programes out compared to the sidekick.
