GX32 Vs P735

Can someone please do a comparasion between Sharp Gx32 and Samsung P735 in the following areas

1) Mp3 player(Does P735 have equalizer ? )
2) Picuture quality
3) Display
4) Video Quality
5) Overall Performance

If you have taken any pics with P735, then please post that too.

1. I'm not fond of the mp3 player on the GX32. There is no playlist support so I have to open the phone each time I want a new song. I also think its too quiet and is rather slow to start. (this is the reason why the GX32 cannot use mp3 ringtones, it takes the phone several seconds to start playing the file).

2. Picture quality is good for a phone. You can click on my moblog or my weblog link in my sig since I always have pics on either page.

3. The display is amazing. Its better than any other display I've seen

4. Video quality is not good, I've heard that the quality on the P735 is much better

5. As far as phone functions, i have more problems as far as call quality and signal than i do my other phones. For me, the phone works better on 850 than it does on 1900. The battery life also doesn't impress me much and I charge my phone very often. The mmf ringtones aren't loud and despite having an external speaker, there is no speaker phone. One thing to note is that the flash on the phone is an actual flash, it turns on to assist at first and when you take the pic, get considerably lighter, i can take a picture of my entire room in complete darkness. If I tried that with my e398 and its assist light, the picture would be black

Thanks for the lenghty reply..but I think u missed the whole point. If you look @ my profile then u can see that I own a Sharp Gx-32 too.

The reason I asked for comparasion was to get an idea if I should sell GX32 and buy P735 or just wait for Sharp 902 to come out

1) mp3 player on the P730 (i dont think anything will be diff on P735) is pretty bad... no equalizer, and no multi-tasking, so if you're listening to mp3s and receive an sms/mms... you can't read it nor reply unless you shut off the mp3 player

2) i can't comment, the whole time i had it, my cables/software didn't work properly... i've only seen photos posted by other users which were adequate, not great

3) display is very very nice. sharp and vivid, however... too small. some phones i've owned that are smaller, have a larger display... first thing i thought when i flipped open the phone was that i wish this display would fill out the phone more... i wouldn't ditch the sharp's display for this one

4) video quality on the phone anyhow is great, it records in mp4 format, and at qvga (320x240) resolution so its quite a bit bigger/clear than most phones. playback on the phone is also full screen and very smooth

5) overall, the phone is a good phone... i've seen others post the 1mp size photos from the phone, and it's not very great, its beaten by s700 and gx32 for sure... reception is pretty decent too where i'm from, i'd say about the same as a z600. incoming sound quality is good and ringtones are very loud and clear. i think the ext oled display though, is much easier to see in the sunlight than sharp's ext display.

Yup... that's why i think it's bad.

Although, compared to what braindead described of the mp3 player on the GX32... the P730's is much faster... opening it, is pretty much instant as well as starting the playback (thru headphones, or thru the speaker)... and you can choose a playlist somewhat... you can go into the list of every song that's on the phone/rs-mmc and check off which ones you want to playback.

With the phone closed and int display facing out, you can skip forward/backward thru tracks, pause/play, and chg volume... with the phone closed and the ext display facing out, you can only adjust the volume.

But even with those positive features... it's still no good of a "built-in" mp3 player to me, if the phone won't even sound a notification to you of incoming sms or let you reply while playback continues.

apologies if i've taken your statement the wrong way. i interpreted it as: the audio ability is bad AND it has no multitasking or equaliser. i guess you meant that its bad BECAUSE it has no equaliser or mutlitasking?
what is the actual audio playback quality like on the p735?

That's alrite GeminiIII... the playback quality was alrite... i've never tried the gx32's so the only comparison i can make towards is the S700i.

To me... the quality on both the s700i and p730 is about the same, but since i prefer just a bit more bass while listening, i'm gonna lean towards the s700 because you can adjust the equalizer settings.
