Have fun with your Nokias ![]() DR_FERIKIKO, The major audio problems have been fixed, but I would wait until Cingular begins stocking the phone at their stores. They seem to be holding off until all of the issues are resolved, so you can rest assured that the phone will great when bought from them. |

Originally posted by MotoBlowz I just don't see where it says the problems are fixed? Maybe the camera doesn't freak out when bluetooth is on, but is it 1.2mp now? Mine would "click" a few times and power itself off and I would have to re-install the software and redo my settings. If you want a good phone, this isn't it. Give it a while and it may be acceptable, but it's still got some problems as a phone. The operating system just seems slow when answering calls (have to wait a few seconds before you say "hello" so your caller can hear you) My mom just got the v180 and it's a great phone. It may be lacking in features, but it does what it's supposed to do. Moto |

Its like buying a new car the first year they come out. There is always multiple recalls to fix issues identified in the field. |

Originally posted by trippyferret The major issues with this phone should have been identified by testing and QA before release. These aren't XYZ peripheral causes xyz errors or a bug in the software, these are problems with the volume and pick up of the speakrs and mic and also the lackluster camera. Comparing this to a car it would be like they sold a car where the brakes only worked some of the time and didnt get 100 stopping power or saying it has a 5.7liter V8 but only puts on 20hp. These aren't recall issues, these are major issues that would prevent a car from being released till they were fixed. These were issues that should have been identified BEFORE ever shipping these phones out, how come cingular could catch these issues and motorola couldn't? Were they testing two completely different phones? Motorola really dropped the ball on this one and hopefully can recover, I do like their phones but the lack of testing/ quailty checks is a bit disturbing, I shouldn't have to exchange my phone multiple times just to get it to work how it normally should. Hopefully with the MPX 300 they will get it right as it seems they are doing by delaying it for more testing. |
