I have VX-6000 phone and downloaded Bitpin 7.21 (yes, I selected the phone in SETTINGS), when I attempt GET DATA FROM PHONE I get the following:

HELP! <grin>

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same problem.

Posted by: Nightshifter

... it was a corrupt entry in the phone book.

I typed out my entire phone book, then started deleting entries about 5 at a time and retrying...

If you can watch to see what entry it is downloading when it fails, that will give you a clue as to where the corrupt entry is...

Sorry, but that was the only way I figgured it out... HOW it got currupt is a mystery to me...

Hey, thanks... I ended up regressing back to the VX6000 special/unofficial 0.62, which downloaded the phone book fine. Then I wiped out the contacts in the phone and uploaded them back. No problems there.

Then I uninstalled 0.62, put 0.7.24 back, and voila! I can download contacts from the phone.

I believe you are right -- the contacts in the phone were corrupted. Too bad I lost my voicedials, but I only had a couple of dozen.

All's well that ends well :-)
