Now i'm having a little issue understand how to install games and what not on there. I have a 3650 and i emailed it and installed using Fexplorer. Would i need to use Fexplorer to install the games as well?

I haven't tried it yet but i assume it goes like this. send the .sis via usb link to the n-gage and run fexplorer to install it on the MMC.

I forgot how i got Fexplorer on to my 3650 so i would need some help in that.

For ringtones do i need to move the file on to the system for it to play?

How much can space does the n-gage have itself.

so no one wants to help me out a little on this topic?

The original N-Gage has 3.4 MB of internal memory. You can install a .sis app by sending it to the phone over USB and looking in Manager under Tools. Newly added .sis install files might show up there or in the Extras section under Programs. If not, go to the E: drive using FExplorer and look under E:\. From there you can open the .sis file.

Hope this helps even if you may know some of this already,

All of the sis files in the root of the mmc can be seen in the 'Manager' under Tools.
The sis files are generally at the bottom of the list.

And yes, u will need FExplorer or seleq if u plan to haul all games onto one mmc.

thanks guys, i was having a hard time understanding where i would put the .sis files cause when i pluged it in it showed up as a local disk and i didn't really see a folder that really states games. but i found where the ringtones and images go.

If u use the cable, u'll transfer files just as fast, but u wont need to take out the mmc everytime.

I'll just say this, if it works for me, great but if it doesn't work for someone else, then there are always some alternatives as you know.

My $0.02 meant as a general statement not referring specifically to angelwing's experience

Posted by: angel_wing0

yeah i wish it could work for me~

but i m happy with my mmc reader

u dont need pc suite for usb cable. No need to install any drivers either.

It shows up like an external drive in your my computer. Simply Drag n Drop from Hard disk.

huh?

U can use the usb cable in the same way u use a card reader. Its funtions are exactly the same, except that now u dont have to remove the mmc.

Posted by: angel_wing0

no..my bad..let me restate~

do i haev to put the files on my phone memory when i use the usb cable? or can i put it on the mmc as well?

U cant access the phone memory at all using the usb cable. Even the pc suite doesnt recognise the n-gage when connected with the usb cable.

U can ONLY access the mmc folders as it is the mmc which is seen as a removable drive in your computer.

Posted by: angel_wing0

hmm...let me give it a shot...

Posted by: angel_wing0

COOL!!!!!

so why would i need a mmc reader in the 1st place?????? (well maybe cuz its faster i guess)

Thats wat im trying to tell u!!!

I doubt if there's any speed difference between reader and usb cable at all.

Posted by: angel_wing0

i'll try later to send a big file and see if it makes a big difference...but i'll need the mmc reader for future s60 phones anyways for hot-swap

hmm..and they all come with usb cables...why would i need a mmc reader now then?

Posted by: angel_wing0

thanks btw abhi

Posted by: angel_wing0

and i didnt even bother to use the ngage cable..i just use my digi cam's cable and everything works fine

well then send it over to me.

Posted by: angel_wing0

u can pay for shipping

Posted by: BowLoFTurTLe

what a bunch of whores whoring up my thread when you could of Pmed each other. but yea i already fixed my problem. just having issues with gmail and my pop3

Posted by: angel_wing0

good for u...why do u need the specific ngage cable when u can use any usb cable anyways?

Posted by: BowLoFTurTLe

yea good point... but my digicam runs a 4 pin and n-gages are 5 pin. thats why i went to get my n-gage wire

Posted by: angel_wing0

oic...my cam's cable is 5-pin as well~

Posted by: BowLoFTurTLe

grrr... i'm having issues with the USB cable now.

it worked the first time when i installed sonic but now it wont connect any more i get this issue now

Posted by: angel_wing0

okay one thing...u using it with your ngage rite?

try to reset your com

Posted by: BowLoFTurTLe

yea i've rebooted, the phone and the computer. tried diffrent ports, nothing.

But i did notice that when the usb cable was pluged in my mmc stuff that was stored on the card was gone. which is the normal thing thats suppose to happen.

well the first time it worked, i installed Fexplorer, something in the lines of winrar for a certain file, and SonicN. now nothign works

Also. what does

" App. Closed
Main "

mean it happens on start up on both my 3650 and n-gage every now and then but it happened on my n-gage when the usb problem happend

Posted by: angel_wing0

u didnt install any software/drivers for the usb rite? hmm...

Posted by: BowLoFTurTLe

are there drivers for the n-gage? i got CD that came with it. maybe i should open that up ?

Posted by: angel_wing0

well its suppose to be included in the pc suite cd...but i dont think u'll need it if u just want access to the MMC...

Posted by: BowLoFTurTLe

i dunno now. first i thought it might just be the mmc itself but its not.i swap mmcs from my 3650. the nokia software isn't helpful at all. all i want to do is transfer some files on to my mmc. The computer doesn't read it no matter what i do.

I'm trying to figure out whats the issue. is it my computer, ngage , or the cable.

Posted by: angel_wing0

if thats the case...i donno really..is there something wrong with the cable?

u should just get a mmc reader in that case~

or check with another ngage cable and see if it is something wrong with the cable u have now

Posted by: BowLoFTurTLe

thats the thing. i tested out the mmc once more and its not that. i formated it cause i really had nothing. now its either the cable, n-gage itself or my computer thats being an butt. I dont have another cable. or recall anything that would be 5 pin. so i can test anything else.

Posted by: angel_wing0

i think its probably the cable...asl your friends if they have one?!

Posted by: BowLoFTurTLe

hahaha.. oh man i fixed it. i slaped the ×××× out of my n-gage cause i got mad. then pluged that crap back in. and " DING DING" ( XP sound) it worked. hahah i dunno how or why but wow. force is always an option.

Posted by: angel_wing0

lol..at least u didnt slap the hell outta your ngage

Posted by: BowLoFTurTLe

good old asian beating works fine on my n-gage.

Posted by: angel_wing0

great to hear..lol

Posted by: angel_wing0

Posted by: BowLoFTurTLe
