Is the P800 worth it???

I'm looking to get a good PDA phone, and I really like the p800 (mainly because of the blue color). I know the fuctions of P900x are better, but are they really worth the 200+ dollars spent? Also I recall some ppl on here saying the firmware on the p800 was buggy and prone to crashing, has that problem been corrected with updates? And if so can an end user flash the p800 easily? Thanks for the time

I got mine when it first came out. I think that it is worth it. If I did not have a P800 I would opt for a p900 at least (if I had the money to spend). If money is an issue, P800 works great. Just dont expect to be running a gazilion applications at one time.

you should be able to find second hand p800s dirt cheap...

Yes that's the thing, P800's are cheap.

I got 2 broken P800's for £80 and put them together.

However,

I can't upgrade (se below) and it probably will never run linux so it's totally un-future-proof like all SE phones. If I send it off for a firmware upgrade it'll probably cost me £30 and that's nearly 50% of the price.

But, as long as I only use it for basic stuff (make calls, manage contacts, make notes), it'll be ok.
