The best will be out in a couple months (for VZW / CDMA).. the LG vx8000. The new SE is very good also.

If he's looking to buy one, then he won't be able to use verizon, he's not in the US

The Sharp GX30/32 is the best at the moment. The best phone that's coming soon would be the NEC n840/n430i (2MP) or the Sharp 902 (2MP 2x optical zoom).

since hes asking about all the megapixel phones, I'm assuming that he is in the market for one. Being in the UK, the vx8000 wouldn't help him and I was simply stating that

Yes it is out. Verizon shipped 500 retail vx8000s for free to users to test EVDO in DC and Sand Diego. I am also hosting many pictures taken by the vx8000. Oh.. don't forget to view at full resolution!

just because they shipped them to be tested doesn't mean the phone is out. although those pics are great

Yes, but they are retail boxed phones, not test models. Although they may not be available for everyone, they are still available.

Potentially, anyone could get one. You'd just have to be lucky enough to have a family member in those areas who has verizon, was picked to try the phone, and does not want it. Slim chance I'd say

So, your definition of 'out' isn't the same as mine in this case. All is good though.
