Media Gallery memory problem for 9900

OK, I have been sending pics and ringtones to my phone from my comp and it has been going fine until recently. I sent myself another ringtone and when I tried to save it it said "Media gallery memory full!" and then it gives me an option "Delete data in media gallery? Y/N" I said no because i figured that might delete all of my files and then I went into my media gallery and deleted alot of things (pics ringtones, etc.) from it. Afterwards it said that only 35% of the memory (1728/5000KB) was used. When I try to save the ringtone it still says the media gallery is full (the ringtone is only about 173Kb and I should have over 3200KB left). What is going on here? (I have searched the forums and can't find a similar problem)

There must be a maximum size for attachments. The largest ringtone that I added to the phone is 92kb.

I have 2 tones that are 148kb, but the one I sent that was over 150kb said 'format not supported'

That would lead me to believe that 150kb is the limit
