Does anyone know how to send mp3 ringtones to an LG VX 6100 using a USB cable, software and mp3 editing software? I read that it's possble with the VX 6000...so why wouldn't it be so with the VX6100. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm tired of paying for lame polyphonic ringers from GET IT NOW Verizon or any other site which aren't even that loud anyway.

Was wondering that too. Ive been onto "get it now" and cant see the Sony Musicbox service. They have mp3 ringtones or "like mp3 sound ringtones". The service is available for the 6000 and the 7000. Do you think its a matter of time or not at all available on the 6100

When I got my 6100 they told me that it was going to be a little while before a lot of the get it now programs were updated to the new phone.

I bought a data cable for the vx7000. Fits perfectly. Use Bitpim and set it for the vx6000. This lets you transfer images and ringtones via the cable. I've been playing around with it tonight and have loaded a bunch of mp3 ringtones and images for wallpaper.

I do have the VX7000 cable and it works with bitpim, but not the greatest. I didnt want to get inot the creating part of MP3 ringtones, but following the guide, it was quite simple. I now have 5 custom ringtones added. Sweet.
