OK, I just picked up a Boost i285 cheap, and I want to unlock it to work on Nextel. I know I need to find someone who can sell me the Subsidy Unlock code, since you can no longer fix this issue in the CP. Here is what I am not sure of, however.

I purchased the phone new in box with a Boost starter kit. Do I need to activate the phone on Boost before I can unlock it? Or should I just get the special code and put my Nextel sim in it and turn it on? I haven't even opened the box yet and I am just wondering what the best way to do this is.

Also, if I plan on activating the Boost sim later, will I cause a problem by switching between the Boost and Nextel sims at will? I tried searching for all of this but couldn't find anyone who had asked these questions before.

See the above post. Stevenk is probably the only one who can unlock newer Boost phones as of right now. BTW, no need to post the same request twice in two different places.
