V500 Help A girl out

I just won this phone from cingular they sent it without a sim card. Ok so I call ATT i'm an att customer and some guy tells me just switch the sims, I had a nokia 3595 so I did and the Sony worked! but then I find out it won't let me get online, so I call Cingular and after 4 hours calling back and forth i'm told I gotta get a new phone to migrate to cingular, I don't want a new phone I already got one,, the one I won from cingular so what do I do. I mean I can use the phone to make calls but I can't take advantage of any of the data stuff.
This is an awesome phone, it takes pics, it's even a video cam, it has a voice recorder, mp3 player and a lot of other stuff, i'm in love with this phone. Any suggestions.
I mean I really don't wanna switch to cingular.

Click on that and choose Configure MMode. Select your phone device.. input your cel number and here you go. It should set you up for MMODE hopefully.

I don't remember sony having a V500 though.

I think it may be a Z500, she says it has a vdeo camera, the moto doesn't have that, and she has a z500 avatar

Why do you say It should set you up for MMODE hopefully, what could happen? It won't mess up my phone will it?

sounds like you need to change your settings

I just went to the configure site, my mmode still isn't working. My phone was on the list don't know why it didn't work.

Can you send out text messages? Just curious. How about configure your SMS first, then after accepting the settings.. configure the MMode setting.

I tried to setup my MMODE after unlocking my phone. The text that they sent that ask you to configure automatically never came. I waited 10 minutes and went to the setup page again, then it worked. Try a couple times.

Just to let you guys know i'm loving my Z500 to death! I'll be so glad when others get this phone so I can learn more about it. I just found out that u can set it to show the callers pic on the external screen when they call u, now thats what I call Technology!!

You said you won your Z500 from Cingular? I was hoping to see it on their website, assuming they actually carried it. Seems like the phone isn't even out yet.

I was shocked to receive the phone 2 weeks later, it came without a sim card so I just took the sim out of my att phone and used it in the z500..

What are the mMode settings on your z500a? I have an unlocked cingular z500a with an AT&T account. I tried everything from the AT&T configuring tool website, to Sony Ericsson's website. Nothing can make my mMode work. Just wondering what your exact settings are. Maybe i'm missing something. Please help. Thanks in advance.
