In most LG phones, you can "Force Mode", that is, force the phone onto either 900Mhz, 1900Mhz, or Analog. Is there anyway to do this with the Audiovox 8910?

or

Is there a way to change the home SID so at least you can force the phone onto a certain carrier?

Any help would be great!

This would be great. I recently cashed in my insurance on my dead LG LX5450 (Alltel) for a Audiovox 8910. So far, the only thing I really miss from my LG is the "Force Mode" feature that would keep my phone from picking analog towers. I'd rather drop a call entirely than shout over static, so if anyone knows if or how this can be done, I'd really appreciate it.
