I just got a Siemens CF62 and am wondering if anyone knows where I could find a data cable and required software in order to transfer ringtones and images to this model. Also, does anyone know of any sites that host different color housings for this model. Keep in mind that I am not looking for covers but the actual OEM housing, I am kind of sick of the silver color and would really like to find a black one if there is one out there.

you can buy it off ebay, they've got many colors for faceplates and also they offer the data cable with a cd

I actually did see some data cables on ebay but wasn't sure if I could download ringtones and wallpapers directly to my phone with just the cable. I think I need to have some sort of software to install along with the driver for the cable .

If anyone knows how this sort of thing works I would greatly appreciate any insight. Also, I did find the faceplates on ebay, but those products only cover the battery and a small portion of the top half of the clamshell. I am trying to find the whole housing. Thanks for the reply just the same though. If anyone comes across or knows anything about the items above I would really enjoy a heads up.

I can check for you what the name of the software app that they use for transfering ringtones & pics, just give me a day or two, I know a guy who uses those.

that would be more than awesome. I have the siemens data cd and am anxiously waiting to put that media on my phone. Unfortunately, I do not want to spend the money on a USB data cable if it doesn't come with the software too, that is if the software is in fact required.

There is quite a bit of those progs: Mobile Phone Manager by Siemens, SiMoCo by a guy from Czech Rep, DES...

If you get an aftermarket cable you will need additional software to make it work. I used AT Enabler. There is also OD (Open Disc) program that is quite useful, KeyChanger to change the key functions, and many more useful tools.

You can find all these progs by searching the net.

Personally, I exchanged the aftemarket cable for orginal Siemens a few days ago and my life is much-much easier with it.

and if I were to use the OEM cable from siemens I wouldnt' have to use additional software?? that is could I get the software from the siemens website? or does the original come with the softare needed?

is anyone familiar with Siemens Data Suite?? I downloaded the program from siemens the other day and am wondering if this will work with my data cable for uploading ringtones and wallpapers to my CF62T.

also, whats the deal with multimedia messenging with T-mobile. A buddy of mine tried to send me a picture message the other day from his cellular one phone and I never received it. Is picture messenging possible between service providers??
