I need some advice (Treo 600)

I need some advice on what to do with my Treo 600. About a month ago I had just returned from hunting and I laid my Treo on my desk, unknowingly I bumped it form the desk when I was moving a rather bulky item. This drop resulted in me stepping on it causing it the LCD screen to crack and then bleed. Much to my surprise the phone still works fine, I just can't see anything. So I went to the local RadioShack and changed the ESN to my old Samsung phone.

But what should I do with the Treo? I really did love the phone, would the costs of fixing it be too much? I'm also considering getting the Treo 650 once it is available on a GSM carrier as I am moving to ATTWS right now.

I guess I could always sell it too, but I doubt I would get much for it.

Anyway any advice would be greatly appreciated as to what my options are.

Thanks in advance!

I know for other Palms Palm One charges around $100 for a new screen. Give them a call they can probaly fix it.

I wasn't aware of that. I'll give that a shot. I'm still debating on whether or not I should just sell it as I'm likely going to be cancelling my Sprint account in the near future.

I would give selling it a shot. I have seen broken treos before on ebay bring in a decent price. Surely there is someone who could use the parts. If you were staying with SPCS then I would fix it and keep using it.

By a decent price what do you mean? I'm just curious as I weigh my options here.

Almost as much as new units.

I saw an auction for a 650 COUPON go for $650. This guy paid someone $650 for a coupon that would get him a 650 for the discounted price of $350. So he paid $1000 for a phone he could have gotten for $500 or less with rebates.

It depends on the demand out there.

Well I guess I can't do any worse than to give it a try and see what I get. I know I'd like to hopefully get around $300ish for is, but I'll have to look to see what prices are on eBay to see if I am being realistic.

i saw that auction, i think the guy thought he was actually getting the phone itself, and not a coupon. $650 for a coupon?! OUCH!
