I've got an AT&T version MPX220. I might be able to deal w/ a few faults, but this phone is way toooo sloooow. Its slower than a 1997 cell phone; its just ridiculousl to wait for a cell phone to catch up to doing basic things like dialing digits. And, the battery life is awful-- I've been getting less than a day just on standby. Couple that w/ the crappy camera, and so-so ear-piece and some other minor annoyances, and I just can't stand it.

Are you just venting, or do you need someone to tell you to either return it while you can or wait for Moto to release an updated ROM?
It sucks, but those are the only choices.

Seems like you are posting what is already obviously known. I would say return it and either wait for Cingular to launch it with the 1.30 firmware or contact Moto to get your firmware updated.

Yeah- just venting. I don't know that i'll be back for version 1.3.

I hated the speed of mine as well....but my battery life was much better so yours may have other issues. I could get a couple of days out of mine with moderate to heavy use

I've had no problems with the speed whatsoever. I just downloaded 356k worth of photos in less than a minute. Its definitely faster than my V600.
