Sorry about the ignorance but it seems as though no matter how much I fidget with my phone I can't seem to figure out what I want to about it. I just have a few questions about this CF62 model: first, on the siemens-mobile website it states that the time and date can be viewed on the external display. I don't know if it has something to do with T-mobile being the service provider but I can only get the time plus a few icons and T-Mobile to show up on the external display. Is there any possible way to get the date to show up also.

Second, will unlocking the phone cause me to not be able to use it unless I sign up with a new provider. I am wondering if there is a way that I can use my WAP browser without having to pay for T-zones from T-mobile.

Third, the addressbook on this phone allows for contacts to be placed in calling groups as many phones do. You are able to assign different ringtones for each group but I am wondering if there is any possible way to assign individual contacts there own ringtone without placing them into these groups??

Finally, what are the advantages of f/w upgrades. I used to have a nokia 3595 so the thought of upgrading is pretty new to me. I'm not even sure exactly what an upgrade entails. Is it linked to the software on a given model.

I realize that I am asking a lot here but if anyone knows anything about this model or T-Mobile in general I would GREATLY appreciate any information I could get. Thanks in advance!!

No. When you unlock the phone you can use any provider you want but you also loose waranty.

You cant assign different melodies for every contact, you can only asign them for groups.

By upgrading fw you get a newer software. Siemens phones have lots of bugs and by fw upgrade they are trying to fix bugs.
