it appears nokia don't reveal any information about next version n-gage (the original is a workhorse, no matter the look, the only thing I don't like is slow GPRS)

Nokia hasn't even confirmed that they're even working on a new N-Gage. It's too early since they released the original and QD within less than a year. They don't seem to be in a big hurry to publicize a new model.

I'd like to see the next N-Gage have triband (like the original) or quadband capabilities and a better screen, 262k would be nice

Quite the same here too. EDGE is my primary requirement. Gimme an n-gage with edge and i'll be happy even if its still got a 4k screen.

I think it would be wise of nokia to wait and see the market response for the PSP and the DS before making any announcements on a new n-gage, i.e. IF they are planning to roll out a new model.

Think about it though. If nokia can get their stuff together they could own the wireless gaming world.

People always have their phone on them, so they could game at ANY time. Where the DS and PSP are an extra device that you wouldn't be apt to carry around ALL the time.

Nokia will be like the Sagem or the Sendo of the gaming world, if u ask me.

Nokia has already tried the phone + gaming device approach with the n-gage intitially, which failed and followed it with a QD saw some success coz the device as a phone was really cheap to buy. Also, they are experiencing a huge loss w.r.t. developers and game mmcs as people can simply download the games from the net.

i agree...ppl finally realizing how god gprs/BT gaming is...and thats the reason why ngage game ssales are going up

Imo, n-gage sales r going up coz its the cheapest S60 phone u can find. Cheapest phone with all the neat features.
