Help with 8900 Greeting Message

For some reason on the 8900 on verizon, when i go to the greeting message in the display, and change it to "hello" or something, and i turn it on, and save it, when i open my phone it still shows "Verizon Wireless"
anyone else have this problem?

if you use brewsky to remove the banner you will no longer have that problem. you can then change it or not display it at all.

oh i see, so verizon doesn't want people to get rid of their name, how stupid

yup. i ran into the same problem the other day but now brewsky took care of all that for me.
