MPx220 FW 1.30, still SIM unlocked?

Just want to make SURE, can anyone verify that the 1.30 FW phones are still SIM unlocked? Have heard there is a registry directory that's locked now that wasn't before, hate to think they got "lock happy". It seems everyone with the 1.30 FW is a Cingular user, since XBM seems to be the only way to get one right now...so do any of you guys (or gals) have a non-Cingular SIM you can throw in it for me please?
