A Few Questions.

I started messing with my kx414 at about 12:00 last night(7 hours ago) and I have done the following.

1) Found out I wasted my money on the kyocera phone desktop software.
2) Found that BitPim works like a charm.
3) Took Pictures, scaled them down, and put them on my phone(worked great [those of you wondering PNG format])
4) Downloaded ringtones from LimeWire and put them on my phone.(Again, worked great.)

I was wondering If it were possible to get rid of the "1X Active" Message at the bottom. I have tried editing the file(/nvm/nvm/nvm_display) with both notepad and a hex editor and I am unable to overwrite the file.

I was also wondering If I could create color themes? If anyone says no I'm gonna go at it.

you need the kpst or kyocera phone support toolkit. you can change the settings in service programming under DATA->Idle 3G Scrn Data Text you enter " " a blank space do not include the ""
you can't just leave it blank you have to enter a space
