KANNEL help please

I have installed kannel, i can get the phone to connect but it never allows me to surf. i start the bearerbox and then the wapbox using a basic config file. has anybody had any success setting this up on either mandrake or fedora? i think i need config help.
also i am able to connect with Now WAP but my demo time is running out.
