I'm usually pretty tech savvy BUT I'm not quite sure on how to do this...

I bought the wireless internet cable from Gomadic and have my Audiovox CDM 8600 hooked up to my Sony Clie NX70V but I have two BIG questions...

1) How do I use my phone to act as a modem? I have an Earthlink account with a username and password and a local access number as well.

2) How do I get my Clie to recognize the phone? What settings should i put under my Network preferences?

3) Do I need something else from Verizon (the service under which I am) itself for my phone to act as a modem? I know they have something called Express Network - would this be their equivalent to being able to connect online?

Yes but I'm connecting my CLIE to my phone NOT my PC. Do I STILL need the Mobile Office Kit nevertheless to install the software onto my phone so it can act as a modem with my CLIE? (NOT my PC)...
