I have an Audiovox CDM8600 and have a Gomadic Cable linking it with my Sony Clie NX-70V....do I have to have the Mobile Office Kit installed onto my phone to connect to Verizon's free Quick Connect 14.4 service? I can't seem to connect and I've tried everything!....

tell your computer to dial "#777"

set the username and password both to "qnc" and it should work.

Or, you can try to set the username to yournumber@vzw3g.com:

5551234567@vzw3g.com

and the password to:

"vzw"

and you should connect @ 112-115K, if you have a 1xRTT phone.

They will both use your minutes, and if you've got free N/W, you're good to go.
