Yeah, there are a couple RSS aggregators for Series 60 out there. The best by far is HeadLine from WildPalm UK (shareware, 10 Euros). You can read everything offline after loading it up over GPRS or mRouting over BT. Even over GPRS, the beauty of RSS really shines; downloads are REALLY fast and small (depends on the RSS feed, but generally my feeds are 8-12 kb each). It's great. I've not tried to read PDFs yet (or Office documents for that matter). Videos play best using the Xvid codec (using SmartMovie?). I think there are some hodge-podge tutorials floating around, but they should probably be updated... 3GP videos (what Series 60 can play with built-in software) are ok at best, so if you want quality, try encoding with Xvid. |
