help activating / register sidekick II (2)

i just bought a sidekick II which was slightly used. i put my sim card in and it has my number and the phone works but its registered to the old owner and i cannot go online. i tried going through my tmobile but it wont let me choose anything related with the sidekick. is there another way of fixing this without dealing with t-mobile customer service on the phone?
any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Call tech support and have a Paperclip ready. Also have the sim card out (but device turned on) as well as the old username that is on there (or the IMEI number handy if you want) and ask them to do a device ID reset. You will be transfered to Tier 2 (maybe u'll even speak to me ) and will gladly do it for you.

yeah i gave them a call and they walked me right through. i was very surprised since i am usually annoyed going through problems and services over the phone. thanks

i found your thread on how to reset a used sidekick 3 wats the fone number of the tech line????thanks
