so i am getting an ngage qd in a few days and i have a few questions.

Is there anyway to make it play mp3s, like a software i can upload to it, if so, how and what program.

can i browse regular internet on it like a PDA, i have heard it supports html, what does that mean, and will it do it through gprs or through a hotspot.

i can use this as a modem right ? how does it work, specifically if i have a HP PDA and i want to get internet on it, do i just connect the phone to the pda and dial an internet dialup number ?

thanks for all the help

You can get various software mp3 players but the QD only has mono output so I never use it for mp3's.

QD supports xhtml & J2ME so you can browse the internet. I use Opera 6.20 and Netfront 3.1.

You can use it as a fax. If you want to use it as a fax modem for your laptop, you can download the sw from n-gage.com. You'll need a bluetooth connection.

If you want to use it to send faxes while you're mobile, there's an app called MobileFax but I haven't tried it. Google it.

Those are going to get harder and harder to find now that Nokia has discontinued production on your N-Gage Classic (according to Allack.co.uk). It's going to be QD all the way from here!

But it's so pimp-tastic. Join the cult of iPod... There are hot women here, I guarantee.

I prefer the iPod because I carry 3000 songs around, plus a complete mountable/bootable image of my Home directory so I can plug into another Mac at work/friend's houses and have basically my entire computer with me. Plus MP3 usage won't kill my phone battery (since I can be away from a plug for extended periods of time). And it's just funny the people you meet with iPods in random places. I'm still not comfortable with people Podjacking my audio (freaks), but it is interesting...

Classic still looks like dingo's kidneys to me. bleh.

everyone is different..just like what i mention in my faq

I have an iPod that I use for mp3's as well. And for mass storage. Like the McDonald's slogan, "I'm lovin' it." :P
