Is The MPx220 Ready?

Firmware 1.3 fixed both the volume and most of the camera issues. But, some people are still having problems with their Mini SD cards. I need to make a decision in the next few days on what phone to buy. I'm going to be using it with a prepaid account.
So I have two questions:

1. Is the MPx220 bug free at this point with F/W 1.3?
2. If I buy it now with no contract and then a f/w upgrade comes out, in the next few weeks, will Cingular still swap the phone for me?

there should be a downloadable firmware on the net somewhere by christmas, so i think its safe to buy at this point

seems the mod there has some freinds on the inside. he seems pretty reliable too.
