There are a lot of people out there asking 5600 "how-to" questions. This is understandabale - it's quite a feature-rich phone with things even I do not yet know how to use (it's been 6 weeks now). To make this worse, A-vox only shipped it's Quick Start Guide with the phone, rather than ship the entire manual.

A-vox DID however, put it on their web site. It's a long doc - 250+ pages as a PDF. A-vox's web site does not really allow me to cut+paste the URL so here's what you do:

1) go to www.audiovox.com
2) Left hand side, mouse over "Find a Product" then "Communications" then "Wireless telephones"
3) Click on GSM Wireless tellephones
4) Select SMT5600
5) Click on "Find a Manual"
6) Click on "English Owners Manual"

You'll have to save it on your hard drive, but it is the only A-vox reference tool out there for the 5600.
