6210 question

I have a 6210, when I'm in total silence, ie. In my room at night typing. I noticed when I have the backlight on I can hear a very small humming noise coming from the unit. When the backlight goes off it goes away. Is that normal? Anyone have any insight on this? I can only hear it when I hold the device up to my ear.
