7510 to 7520 process

I may have arranged a deal to get a 7520 sooner than I thought. If not I will still eventually need this information and will print or retain it somehow so that I have it handy when I need it.

What all is involved in upgrading from one device to another. I do not mean the purchasing, contract or whatever aspect like that I mean the syncing of data and that sort of thing.

Do I just bring it home, plug it in and it will realize it is a new one and walk me through it from there? I saw a post/thread awhile ago where it recognized that there was a new pin and walked the person through changing the pin in the system or something like that. Tonight I saw another post where a person was having trouble getting the password keeper app on there, until they updated the desktop software first.

What steps will I need to do and in what order?

Thanks for any help.

I'm using BES. When I got my 7520 I called Nextel to swap SIMS, once I got phone service I cradled and the Desktop Software asked if I wanted to swap PINS.

That was it.

If you are using BWC you have to go into your BWC client and swap the PIN and IMEI (I think it's under profiles) and I'm not sure if you have to send a new service book but I did (I use my device for both BES and BWC).

I think I do remember seeing something in profiles about changing what device one has and things like that. I forgot about that - thanks. I just fear that Nextel CS will not be much help since these are not upgraded that frequently.
Thanks
