HELP! can't get v180 to connect to p2kman...

this is my first time trying this. hooked v180 up to computer and opened p2kman. i got the "found new hardware" boxes. it keeps telling me it can't find the software to run the hardware. it asked me to search the internet to find it. i didn't know what to do so i disconnected the phone. it never said connected at the lower left corner. i tried it again, same procedure ,but now the "found new hardware" boxes don't even come up so i can't get the phone to connect to p2kman.

please help me out.

someone help out please....

i tried deleting p2kman and re downloading but i am not getting any new hardware boxes. my phone will not connect.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you need to install PST first; P2Kman is looking for the drivers which are supplied with the PST installation.

please elaborate. your help is greatlly appreciated.
i have read xlr8's hex editing guide and i didn't see anything called PST.

UPDATE: i got it connected, but now heres my problem:

-i connected to p2kman
-hit "suspend phone"
-hit "update list"
-highlighted all the files and selected "download"

heres where i got lost. i named the file and hit "save". it wouldn't let me change the file type, it said "all files". now all my phone files are in "my documents". i have read that they should be in a zip file. how do i do this?

all i did was change the usb cable to my other port on my computer, and it started installing the hardware again. now i'm stuck on backing up /saving files thing........

i used the drivers that came with p2kman. if windows can't find the driver, point it to the same file where you unzipped pskman.there is a folder there marked "drv". the drivers you need should be in there.
